The Big 3 is now the Big 1, Irving and Durant leave Harden out on the court alone

Tonight the Brooklyn Nets faced the Phoenix Suns but without two of their star players, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. Kyrie Irving is experiencing lower back soreness and Durant has a hamstring strain.

Nets coach Steve Nash said that Irving’s injury first started during Monday’s win against Sacramento. Irving was treated during half time but continued playing through the pain and brushing it off. According to nypost.com; Nash had little to say about the injury, “Ky did get a little treatment. I know it was bothering him a little bit in the game. He did get some treatment at halftime, so it wasn’t something that he just woke up with [Tuesday] morning. There was some discomfort.”

The ‘Big Three’ is now just the ‘Big One’, and the one being the last member to join, James Harden.

We’re able to see other key players outside of just the Big 3. Tyler Johnson is getting a lot of momentum going on the court with back-to-back threes. DeAndre Jordan is getting through the contact of the defense for some points on the board.

The Nets are making a huge comeback coming into the fourth quarter, even without Harden on the court. As Harden comes back on, will he be able to help bring the team back for a win? I think its possible. Harden being on a new team, without the reliance of the other key players, makes this his moment to really show how great he is.

Harden did it. He made a game-winning three pointer to seal a 128-124 win over the Suns. The Nets were able to come back from a 24-point deficit.

Coming back and making that winning shot allowed Harden to prove himself. You can tell in the way he plays just how much his energy has shifted being on a new team and in a new environment.

Harden earns his fourth 30/10 game as a Net and Johnson makes 17 points for his first start.

The Nets win, and Harden is smiling from ear to ear.
